Refinishing the stock is out of the question. It would be nice to see the gun though. Without pictures it does not exist. Pictures of the entire rifle and all the matching points could tell us a lot.

Are these parkerized or is it just me?

It's hard to say anything about this. To me the stock looks sanded. The metal looks refinished. I see no markings on the scope. The cutouts for the mount look new. The shank information is not visible nor any of the serial numbers. Is it a bubba? Chances are better than 50% in my book. I'd run from ...

The only way you can determine the finish on the metal is to test a cold blue on it. If nickel the blue won't take. And cold blue can be easily remov...
