A near original 1896 M91 w/o 1908 upgrades (pic heavy!)

I've posted this rifle on numerous other forums, but I just love it so much I figured I'd share it with you fine folks too, ha! I actually passed over this rifle in a shop for $225 when I first started collecting, not knowing what it was! I kicked myself for nearly 3 years until the owner (a member ...

Re: Westinghouse missing the handguard

They are pretty tricky to find actually. If it was me I'd just leave it how it is.Same thing with Mosin Nagants missing cleaning rods. At some point in the rifle's history those particular parts were broken/lost, so why not leave it how you received it? It's part of the history now! Well, that and I...

1936 Tula M91/30 Spanish Civil War rifle [Lots of pictures]

I must have forgotten to post this rifle after I photographed it over the summer, but I figured better now than never, ha! This is a rifle I bought as part of a package deal locally from member of another forum, and it's the rifle that sparked my deep interest in Spanish Civil War Mosin Nagants. It'...

1926 Izhevsk Dragoon (Photo Essay)

Well today has turned out to be a beautiful day, so before I go out to shoot the old M1 Garand, I decided to take advantage of the weather and photograph an Izhevsk Dragoon I purchased back in June in a package deal. On the outside this appears to be one rough rifle, ha! The blueing is worn off most...

Re: Beat Up Old Mosin

Smokerr, If that rear wire sling hanger bent inwards on both sides? I've been trying to figure out if that is simply the result of damage to the hanger from use over the years or a variation of the typical SCW wire hangers. I've seen many rifles with probable SCW history with bent rear hangers so it...
