Re: What's a fair price on this?

You have a tula barrel ,sestroryetsk rear sight blade and izhersk sight spring just from the pic. Don't see any SA marks. But looks like could be Finned rifle. Is the receiver Tula? What about the bolt? I got my Finned M91 sestroryetsk for 160.00 2 months ago. Is that a fair price, I thought so. Mak...

Re: Brass Expansion Question - Cartridge Web

Hello, If I am not mistaken, that is normal. If you reload the FL die takes care of this. You are right about paperclip trick to check for signs of head separation when reloading,,, thinning of wall ahead of the webb. A problem seen with belted mag. ammo. 300 win mag 7MM ..

Re: My '34 Tula shoots well but...

Hello, You may try a good cleaning of the mag well, follower assembly and the interrupter/ejector assembly inside the receiver. Oh, and I am sure you are a good little boy and clean all that shit up off the range, unless it's your land. I sure get tired of people that take their trash out to a publi...

Re: Westinghouse on GB right now...HOLY SHHHH

Hello, Wow....is right. Thumbs up to the seller. Someone said that "There's a sucker born every day" Now I see.. I hope this buyer is around when I am ready to lighten my load. No, I'm sorry. I'm sure that was "one fine rifle", worth every penny.

Re: NEW Barrel Breakin Proceedures

Hello, it sounds like a good break in. May try 1 round and clean, for the first 20 or so.. the barrel throat should be ok by then. If the bolt remains tight try polishing the chamber/bolt face area, just a sugestion. You did check headspace? right. Have fun.

If you're really "hooked"...., your choice has already been made. Buy them both, See how simple things can be. No time like the present to start that collection. Happy shooting.

Re: Westinghouse Proof Mark ??

Hey, I'm not going to knock the pros, but; from the pic's on that site , it looks like the "R" is made to look like a "B" an added strike to the bottom.. "It's a double strike".. Look at it close. But remington is only a" R "in a circle. But, I may be mistaken...

Re: Westinghouse Proof Mark ??

Hello, from the pic's, It looks like it, very well could be a westinghouse stamp mark on the trigger, a arrow coming off a letter. But,the butt plate seems to be a Izhevsk pre 1929 bow and arrow with the "S" stamped over it. Does the shear/bolt stop have the same mark as the trigger, arrow...

Re: Steel Targets 1/2" AR500 Steel

Steel targets don't care what type of ammo you shoot at them. They like it all... Anyone shooting at heavy metal targets, needs to use some common sense though. It has to do with something they call physics... Make sure the steel targets are set up to absorb some of the energy. and there should be n...

Re: Finn Rear Sight Markings

The "7's" in the pic's shown. Are two different stamp "strikers", most likely not done at the same time , by the same person.Look at the arch on the "7's", they are not the same. Did the one you replace , have the same "strike mark" on the sight slide ?? same ...

Re: Finn Rear Sight Markings

Is your finn 91 an Sestroryetsk???? Because the sight blade has a sestroryetsk arrow on it. Is this a Finn or a Finned rebuild. Is the blade flat or bowed?? Tells age..Just wondering. Just a new guy.

Re: New Members, Make your first post here!

hey, I just joined the party. Thanks for having me. Yes; I like bolt action rifles. I have 3 mosins 1 m91, 1 91/30 and a m-44. and 2 remington 03-a3's.... I may as well start off running with questions. My 1917 sestroryetsy needs the pin that goes in front of the forward barrel band... hand guard co...
