Re: Mossberg 500 Tactical conversions

My first shotgun was a Mossberg 20 ga. bolt action with a modified adjustable choke. That was over 50 years ago and that old shotgun still works as good as it did when I was a kid. I used it many, many times for hunting ducks, rabbits, quail, dove, deer etc.I don,t think you can find a better brand nam...

Re: Tokarev

I bought a Yugo Tok with the extra round mag. I like the flat high speed ballistics and the slender feel compared to a 1911 or a Glock. Good price and ammo is not that much more expensive. I got a package deal when I bought mine. 800 rounds for less than same number of 45s :D

Re: NOTICE...ATF CHANGES IT'S MIND

I agree that we might want to keep politics out. Seems like the ATF did not change it's mind until the public started talking. They do not like to have anyone question their authority. When I saw gun owners using the arm brace as an SBR shoulder stock, I knew it was just a matter of time . I'm just ...

Re: Handguards Interchangeable? 91/30

I have fixed more than one handguard crack with a very small amount of glue. I have used various types of clear non-expanding wood glues depending on the size of the crack. Be very careful with Gorilla glue because it will expand and can make the crack larger. If you have already fixed the crack wit...

Re: Sks from Aim Surplus

I received a SKS from AIM Surplus about a month ago for $309.00 plus an extra handpick charge. I got an average looking rifle with a well worn stock but no cracks or large dings. It had the usual small scratches and dirty dull finish. The metal was not rusted just fair to barely good. The rifling wa...

Re: 3 days + 800 miles + $3000 = 8 rifles

I once had a Datsun B110 fast back with the A14 Station Wagon Engine and Weber side draft carbs. We had cut the roof open for a moon roof and added a spoiler with over size tires. It was a real fun car to drive back in the 70's during the gasoline shortage. It could easily out run the early model si...

Re: How does one restore the stock on a mosin?

I just finished cleanig an SKS that had been overpacked with cosmoline by removing the wood parts and spraying the metal with Birchwood Casey Gun Scrubber Synthetic Firearm Cleaner ,then using paper towels and Q-Tips to remove the grease. This gun was so badly packed with grease it would never have ...

Re: CZ82 /83 fans

Very few people I 've talked to( Undercover cops and combat pilots)have very much positive to say about shoulder rigs .Seems they try them out and go on to more conventional and user friendly holsters. Seems the shoulder rigs become a chore to get in and out of. We never used them in the Choppers mu...

I"M glad I got my Aim sniper back when they were $499.00 with free shipping. That was about two or three years ago. They have'nt gone up in price that much compared to other gun suppliers.J&G raised the Yugo PAP M92PV 7.62X39 from $399.00 to $499.00 in less than a year. I bought most of my ...

I don't do Facebook cause I don't do the 21st century if I can help it. I don't want unsolicited contact. I like to fly under the radar. Re: Does anybody display your firarms

Thanks to all that shared their different ways of storing and displaying their gun collections. I have a couple of safes for guns (for climate control and security) and several homemade steel crew tool boxes for ammo. I depend on anonymity as my most effective crime deterrent. That and several large...

Nice collection of S&W pistols. Is the top break a .38 regular cal.as opposed to a .38 special. One of my pistol books says this .38 regular cal. was often copied by many different mfgs. and was the Saturday night special belly gun of it's day and responsible for very many shootings. I had one of...

Very nice PPK RZM I wonder if this model was also the same issued to submarine boat captains. I recently saw a TV program about a rare Nazi sub captain's pistol being in a U.S. museum. This might explain the pitting (salt water exposure) Thanks for showing us the pics. JGC

Re: New truck gun

Nice truck gun ,but if you sink alot of money into it and then ,God forbid, some fool sees it and makes off with it you are out big bucks. I carry a cheap Hi-Point .45 cal carbine under my seat that I got used for $200.00 with 2 extra mags. Along with the different hand guns I carry at all times I fe...
