Re: Best Mosin to use on a Drone

:vsad: :vsad: :vsad: Mosin 700 yard Drone shooting was a flop! :vsad: :vsad: :vsad: Winds up to 35mpH prevented the drop.... We were good on 200 to 300, but farther the wind was a prob. Try agn w/o wind we will. As to HOSHO's last comment: Religion and wrong interpretation of old scripts has already...

:D :D :D Tnx for info! :D :D :D Have you had her out of the wood ? Any anomalies on the underside of the barrel? How does she shoot? Is the wood numbered under the barrel? You are # 7 owner so far! Hi, Trinitron and welcome to the forum! :D Please read my thread "R"Rifle Research , and pass the information. A picture would be helpful, also the arsenal and Russian serial number like 334x for security reasons. I have reason to believe we are about to resolve the "RED" riddle....

Re: what defines bubba-ing?

:D This is my opinion, take it or forget it! :D Any C-R accredited rifle is a piece of history and should be treated as such. The moment you cut a 9130 to a M44 length, in our eyes here you have "murdered" it. The moment you have your gunsmith cut your bolt handle to attach a "bent ha...

Re: Best Mosin to use on a Drone

Right, Desdem, and we will be seeing lots more of this behavior.... What is the only difference between the US citizens and the poor social democratically nose-led Europeans and other Nations governed by the same kind of corrupt wealthspreaders like we are?? It is the Constitution and the Amendments...

Re: Best Mosin to use on a Drone

I certainly have a tendency to overreact sarcastically on threads like this one. But not today! Today I will sing you a song about a well-done politician who thinks about using drones in and over the HOMELAND.....on what and why? Because he is getting scared about what he has already created and wha...

Re: long term future of 54r

To make a personal statement:

7.62X54R as ammunition type to my personal opinion will not go away soon, only when demand undercuts production and sales expenses and there is no plannable profit left.

It's a thing for our grandkids to figure out........

Re: long term future of 54r

Thank you, Jim :D :D :D

They made me look into the available commercial stuff by issuing that "sniper ammo " thing, smoke screen for the UN.
If you shoot a 200gr FMJ or FMBJ on 500m, it is still what it is supposed to be....long range flat trajectory ...

Re: Difficulty loading 91/30 magazine

Welcome to the Forum!!!

Had the same prob with an Ishevsk 32 Hex refurb, I calipered the space of my Tula 32 and spread the Ishevsk mag accordingly.

While in the refurb process, the mag part may have had a heavy part hit it and bend it inwards....are the top parts of both rifles alike?

SA1911,
well said.....and with the number of rifles only here in the US, no wonder WIN makes it -or imports it under the Win name-. There must be people afraid of buying Wolf or Bear or Tiger, not to forget PPU and S&B.....

Re: long term future of 54r

There are rumors on one or two websites about the Russians banning the export of yellow tips as sniper ammo. Modern production, however, runs on 174 gr and/or 180gr, even 200gr is available ; so that rumor seems to be a dud and only a way to clean up the warehouse. As to the LPS 147148gr, I have sho...

   Definitely a nice and affordable find these days, congrats.
