Re: Interesting 1940 Tula

There are no refurb marks on the metal, but the wood is obviously a refurbed stock. It's possible that a previous owner swapped the old beat up stock for a nice red one. I got it from a private individual.

I think I am going to free float this one. I like the plain aluminum tube they put on the ar10t.

Armalite AR10a4cbs

I happened to notice this one on GB in its last 2 hrs. Seemed to be a good value so I bid and won. I contacted Armalite about it because I could not find any info on the AR-10A4cbs. Turns out it was a limited run in the late 90's early 2000's. It has a triple lapped match grade SS barrel. This one w...

Re: 1935 Tula MO triple date (Update! Altered rifle "Faked)

The guy is guilty, and there is no one more sure of that than me. The rifle left my possession with no sa stamps, and three days after he gets it it has them. After he was called out by forum members (before i knew anything about it, btw) he emailed me, asking what I knew about the sa marks. At the ...

Re: 1935 Tula MO triple date

this rifle had more than enough history as it was, there was no need to fake it to turn a profit. That's absolutely right. I thought it had enough if its own merit the way it was. Kind of figured it would have brought more than the $222 I got for it. I put it on GB hoping for the big bucks I see th...

Re: 1935 Tula MO triple date

Stupid part is, the SA would have been put on during WWII. The MO would have been put on after the war. " If it is real "It would have to be a ......Finn captured Russian rifle (during WWII),...... then Russians re-captured it back (WWII)..... and then refurbished and MO marked by the Rus...

Re: 1935 Tula MO triple date

I have been absent from the forum for a while. I just caught wind of some fraud thanks to a PM last night from another member. I think the GB buyer/fraud stamper of my old '35 MO is sweating a little. He just emailed me this morning wanting to know "more history on the rifle, and the two sa st...

Re: What is the theme of your collection?

If I find a Russian or Finn rifle CHEAP I buy it. Sometimes I have paid full value, like the 5 m91s I bought all at once. I guess I just get a kick out of finding that great bargain. Lately it seems that the Finn captured 91/30s are finding me. I would have to go and count all of those I have accumu...

Re: Got a Finn M91/30 Today & I SCREWED Up!! Lesson Learned

It doesnt matter how long you are at this game, you will miss something, somewhere along the way. I just bought a Finn captured 91/30 last weekend, and never looked down the bore 'til I got it home. It is VERY wore. As with most things....don't sweat it. 175 bucks is not the end of the world....
