Very crisp. Surprising given it's character.

Re: New PU sniper

Normally, I seriously question 1 MOA claims with any surplus rifle. The PU can put 10 shots darn close to it.

Re: New PU sniper

Finally got a chance to take the PU out today. I tightened everything down and had her on paper in short order. It was evident while zeroing with PPU match that the rifle has potential. I tested varget and 4064 under 174 .311 match kings. 43.2 grains of varget printed 2x5 shot groups in what looks t...

Re: Need help identify PU rifle

300 bucks really isn't a bad deal for a repro IF it shoots okay. People are trying to sell standard 9130s for 200 to 250 right now! If it shoots well, keep it, and shoot the crap out of it.

Re: Need help identify PU rifle

From what I can see the scope looks like a reproduction as well. The turret screws are flat and not domed. The mount has the milling marks on the wrong side. Can't see much about the base. Oh and rough receiver too.

Re: Adding a little French flavor to the collection

I don't think all of the MAS rifles were imported with scopes even though they all have the rail. Only one way to find out how accurate it is at 600 [emoji16] These rifles will easily go "full auto" on you if you use a standard primer (ask me how I know) or commercial ammo. Be careful! You...

Re: New PU sniper

975 shipped Dolk. Thanks! A few things for the experienced folks to chew on: 1. Receiver finish and machining is nicer than a standard infantry rifle. But, still roughish and not nice like the ones I have seen pictures of. 2. Cutout at the front of the mount is more round than square. 3. Turret stop...

Re: Real Tula Pu Sniper??

Only two things standing out to me are

1. Scope serial numbers on the barrel shank are an izhevsk feature, not tula

2. The mount cutout doesn't have a nice 90 degree cuts at the front.

Re: 3 Mosins PU help me choose one for shooting!

Correct me if I'm wrong but one of those receivers looks pretty rough and has flat turret screws instead of the domed. Am I the only one?

Re: NEED INFO MOSIN PU SNIPER

Interested as well. My reading here indicates that tula pu snipers did not have optic serial numbers on the barrel shank. Does that apply to mount as well? Everything else from the pictures on gunbroker seem legit to my untrained eye. Definitely interested in what the experts have to say. Bill Sent ...
