I'm 24 years old and i'm italian. I mostly collect german military photos from 1930 to 1947. But recently i got my italian permit to buy guns and I started my gun collection with the most beautiful gun ever, a mosin nagant.![]()

Re: M91 New England Westinghouse with no import marks
Thanks for all the help. Sorry I was gone so long I got sick again. Looks like I,ll be getting rid of my stuff. Can you suggest the best way to sell this rifle. I would list it here and/or on one of the other forums. I have no experience with gunbroker or any of the other auction sites, so I couldn...

Re: The Mosin You Wish You Still Had
I traded off an M39 years ago, but got something about as cool, so it doesn't burn too much. I'm with Darryll thinking I need to liquidate them on my terms.

Looks good, but the bottom "hook" should stick out further to catch on your pocket when you draw it.

Yeah, but JYD's has a madman behind the wheel blaring Victrola music, armed to the teeth.steelbuttplate wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2023 8:03 pmYea but that don't make it an assault cabin, two story, sniper windows, back door gunner.Junk Yard Dog wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2023 2:28 am I have a more modern version of that, today it's called a motorhome.

Re: Finnish m91 stock markings
Look for #2 domed head slotted wood screws at the hardware store. I got the plated steel ones. Heat them up redhot with a propane torch and then drop them in some old nasty black oil. Instant 100 year old looking screw. I know of no source for originals.

Re: Finnish m91 stock markings
Mixed parts are the norm on Finnish mosins. The trigger, floorplate, basically anything could be from any arsenal.finnedmosin wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2023 12:38 pm very weird that it has a russian trigger and floorplate but it is highly likely that the reciever is original
Which screw is buggered? I can't tell from the pic.

Re: Finnish m91 stock markings
this is just some info i found on a forum New England Westinghouse M91's had neither dates on the tang or the Imperial crest stamped on the top of the receiver so that's a possible origin of your receiver. Look on the underside of the receiver for a stamped letter such as a E or a M with a arrow po...

Re: New Members, Make your first post here!
The Finns made rifles out of parts. You may find any maker anything with an any maker anything else. Things like the Finn match barrel and bolt and certain Finnish depot marks change the story over Remington vs, Tula vs. Izhevsk, etc.

Re: New Members, Make your first post here!
The bolt knob and barrel shank number should match to be considered Finn matched. Your's appears to be. Is the receiver marked?
