Russian....maybe. Somewhat OT
Hello everyone! I know this may be in the wrong section but, I know theres a good many knowledgable people here. Heres a pic of one of the Classic Arms Chinese SKS's. Strange thing is there is no triangle 26 mark anywhere on this gun. The serial number has 2 letters in its beginning and 1 letter is ...

I absolutely agree with martin08 on this one. You have something very, very, special there. What a story that one would have to tell. Maybe even for the showcase? A+++ find there!

Re: Craigslist surprise
Nice find. I think you did fine on the price. Its funny where these crop up at times. I found one at a garage sale and one at a hillbilly flea market.

Attic find Amberg 1906 Gew 98 Mauser
Hey guys, how 'yall been? I got one this weekend from an old friend while helping clear out grammas attic. It's a Gew 98 long rifle marked Amberg 1906. What got me stumped is the bolt handle is turned down some. Not as much as my kar98k, but turned down. Family story goes this along with the bayonet...

Russian "match grade" spam cans 225rds
Good evening guys! I've seen some of this "match grade" brass case ammo for sale lately and was wondering if anyone had the lowdown on this stuff. Was it made for the SVD and PU rifles? Seems to be about twice the money for this ammo.

Re: Prices at local gun show
Yeah, saw a Romanian WASR in 5.45 with an asking of 1295 and it was gone when I made my way back around to the door. Dunhams had those junky things less than a year ago at 449 on sale. Shoulda bought a few then. Could have sold or traded a few for the K98 sniper he had 2700 on. S-42 code rifle with ...

Prices at local gun show
Went to a local gun show this morning in search of ammo if the price wasn't too bad. I was SHOCKED to see what they are gouging people for. Worst I saw was 250rds of cheapie wolf 762x39 for $200! 300rd spam cans of the Russian 54r on strippers for $139/can. Holy smokes fellas, I sincerely hope this ...

Re: 1939 Tula cn marking question
Hi guys, thanks for your replies. I took this thing all apart and theres no filled holes. Even under a magnifying glass. Maybe you, JYD, could help, whats the rarity factor on this rifle? Sorry i don't havea pic. Rifle is at my work and I'm snowed in at the farm. 2 days now, ugh. Also, are there ins...

1939 Tula cn marking question
Got this 39 Tula refurb with the cn marking but shows no evidence of being drilled, inside or out. I'm curious what kind of scope would have been on this had it been scoped, a PE or PU? Thanks!

Aztec in Fl. ever import PU snipers?
Have a chance at a rifle that appears legit. 43 Izhevsk with 44 dated scope. But the Aztec import stamp is throwing me off. Guy wants 750 so he's definitely up there on the price. Also heard about some secret file of real PU attributes??? Really don't want a fake. Thanks

1939 Tula Ex Sniper/Never Drilled
Today I found a 1939 Tula Refurb with the C N marking. Strange thing is that it has no filled holes or evidence of a scope ever being there. This is the forth rifle dated 39 from Tula that I've seen lately with this same phenomenon. I'm curious if anyone else have Tula ex's with no holes??? :vconfus...

Re: How long have you be collecting guns?
I have been collecting since I was 8. My father gave me a Remington model 12 and a 1924 Mosin Dragoon. I still have both to this day. He bought the Mosin in the 50's for $11!!! The Remington cost him $30. I'd buy all I could find at that price. I'm 35 now and no signs of stopping.
