Fabulous groups! Any one of those shots would do the trick... and you'd have 9 bullet to spare.

Now wrap it in gray rags and twine and you'll have it looking authentic.

I was at the LGS yesterday and saw two crates of Mosins - I'd never seen 'em like that before. Most impressive, they had me drooling.

Got it! Built in 1912, it has clearly seen a lot of use. After 101 years the rifling is merely a suggestion.

Stripping down this firearm for cleaning is more fidgit-y than I'm used to, manufacturers have made it easier to get at innards in more recent designs.

I'm planning to get a .32 tomorrow. It has an interesting history, I'm told - used by a Burlington Northern cop back in the days when train jumpers were common.

I owned one years ago - what a great gun! I'm sorry I sold it off. I never had a problem with it: easy to break down & clean, accurate, fun to shoot. You can't go wrong with one of these!

Welcome, and congrats on your new 80 year old battle rifle. Chances are it saw use in situations so horrible we can hardly imagine. Be happy you can hold it in peace time.
