Re: baikal coach gun

Cool. Coach guns are awesome and great for shooting rustlers, zombies, or even modern day thugsters. Out of all the guns that I have bought with the intent of making them "truck" guns, somehow they never really spend that much time in my truck. Except this one. It's mechanically sound and ...

Re: Open carry passed in Oklahoma.

Open carry is legal in NC, without a permit, as long as you aren't "brandishing" it. I usually carry concealed, but sometimes I open carry. I wish more people did. I'd like to see things get to the point that carrying a sidearm would cause no more notice or comment than carrying a cell pho...

Re: Let's see your favorite

I've already posted photos of both of these, but since you asked, and since I really like posting pictures of my firearms, here's my top two favorite handguns. This is my overall favorite of all the firearms I own because it was my Grandpa's. S&W Safety Hammerless (Lemon Squeezer) in .32 caliber...

Re: Glock 27 for Ruger Super Blackhawk trade

Glock 27's are great, but I never liked mine. It's accuracy was fine, but my accuracy using it wasn't. Probably a combination of old fading eyesight and the short barrel. I still have my Glock 21 that I use at work, and I'm big enough to carry it in a concealment holster off duty. So I traded the G2...

Re: Glock 27 for Ruger Super Blackhawk trade

I ordered a Safariland New Frontier holster off of Ebay Saturday night and got it today. That's really fast delivery all the way from Washington State. I really like this holster. http://i531.photobucket.com/albums/dd352/sbkittrell/P1030798.jpg http://i531.photobucket.com/albums/dd352/sbkittrell/P10...

Re: Glock 27 for Ruger Super Blackhawk trade

I've done some research and found out some cool stuff about this SBH. While checking out the internet for Ruger SBH information, I came across this site from Ruger that lists the Serial Numbers/Dates of Manufacture: http://www.ruger.com/service/productHistory.html# I also have read that the year of ...

Re: Smith and Wesson Model 28

Major problem with the S&W Model 28! I took it to the range today and shot it for the first time. I noticed that it was shooting left. I was shooting 158 Gr JSP .38. Then I switched to 158 gr SJHP .357 and got my face peppered with lead fragments on the first shot. Nothing major, but it stung. M...

Re: Glock 27 for Ruger Super Blackhawk trade

I just ordered this Safariland Lined Holster New Frontier from Ebay for it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/160793838829?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2648#ht_500wt_1202. The belt I got with the gun is a drop rig type with cartridge loops, but I think this holster will work fine with it....

Re: Glock 27 for Ruger Super Blackhawk trade

SB, that was a fine trade. I would have made that trade in a heartbeat. That revolver looks like it's been taken great care of too. And the beautiful grips are a plus. What ammo were you shooting? 240 Gr powerhouse rounds? For economical shooting some reduced load lead bullets can make for a good t...

Glock 27 for Ruger Super Blackhawk trade

I traded my Glock 27 today for a Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 Magnum. Nothing wrong with the Glock, it's a fine firearm, but I never really liked it because it was just too small for my hand. When I initially discussed the trade with my friend, he didn't have the revolver with him and couldn't remember...

Re: Smith and Wesson Model 28

Speaking of revolvers......I'm working on a deal to trade my G27 for a 3 screw Blackhawk .44 mag. I shot that exact same revolver thirty plus years ago (first time I ever fired a .44 mag handgun) and always wanted it and my old friend is interested in my G27. I don't think this one has the transfer ...

Glock 27: .40 to .357 Sig Conversion?

Has anyone here bought a .357 SIG conversion barrel for their Glock 27? Any problems? Would you suggest going with an OEM Glock 33 barrel or an aftermarket barrel? I've heard that the Glock .40 magazines will feed .357 SIG ammo just fine, is that true?

Re: 9mm or .40 cal?

You can always get a Glock 27 to shoot .40 ammo and then get a drop in conversion barrel and a few G26 magazines for 9mm. Then you could use the .40 barrel/mags and switch out to the 9mm when you wanted to go to the range and burn up ammo. I've got a G27 and it's kind of snappy to shoot.

Re: Smith and Wesson Model 28

Agreed, that is a nice rig. If you would like a black, patent leather, cop holster to go with it, I have one in Right hand and Left hand. Thanks, but I also have an old level II duty holster around here somewhere that I think it might fit in. I won't be carrying this one at work though, but thanks ...

I love it :vcool: :vcool: :vcool: Who needs more than six rounds anyway so long as you place the first one were it will count, and if more are needed then speedloaders are available. People fail to practice with speedloaders, but if you do it's amazing how fast you can reload a revolver with them. ...

Smith and Wesson Model 28

I just bought this revolver a few weeks ago from a friend who used the money to buy himself a Springfield Range Officer. I paid for $450.00 for it which I think is a fair price. It's not an original factory nickel (or maybe chrome?) finish, but I'm 99.9% sure it's a Smith and Wesson plating job done...

Re: Range Time

Your on the paper you are doing fine. The M39 is something else isn't it? :) I remember the first time I shot one, I found that the $150 Finn Mosin was shooting as well as my best US M1903's and A3's, I was amazed. Yeah, I'm on the paper, but it was quite a journey getting there and I never did get...

Range Time

I just joined a local Wildlife/Gun club and went today for the first time. I took the Savage Model 99, the Finn M39 Mosin Nagant, and the M38 Mosin Nagant Carbine. I had the rifle range all to myself for two hours, which was good, because I have no spotting scope and I had to walk down and see where...

Re: WWII Era Military Shotguns?

One exception to this is TP-82 "space pistol", the three-barrel gun (two 32 gauge and one 5.45mm rifled) with a detachable stock that was a sort of a machete in a case. It was a survival gun issued to cosmonauts. It's creation is rumored to have been prompted by some wolves finding the la...
