ishapore enfield
What makes an ishapore enfield collectible? I look on gb and the selling prices run from 200 to 500. I am looking to buy one tomorrow morning. He wants 350 for it. It includes the bayonet. I havent seen it yet. What do I look for?

Re: 1940 k31 pics
I removed the buttplate and did not find any soldier info. I did find the number 37 (1937). Mine is 1940 so the rifle was built with a stock made 3 years earlier. Or was the stock replaced by the Swiss with an old new stock.

Norinco 84s
I have another annoying "whats it worth" question. I could buy a "Norinco 84s" in 223. He wants $850.00. It is like new with original manual and 3 30 rnd original mags. It seems high to me, but how high is it? Is it in the ballpark to talk him down?

Re: 1940 k31 pics

NEATO :Drool1: :Drool1: :vcool: :vcool: :vcool: You may know this already but many of the k31s were re fitted with beach stocks because of the dings the original ones received from spiked boots. The original walnut stocks have matching serial ...

Re: 1940 k31 pics
I never took the butt plate off. I will check it after work tonight. Speaking of stock condition, this rifle came from some guys collection of 15 k31's. Four or five were like the day they were made. He kept those.

Re: DB marked sks: what is it?
I have heard of that happening (slam fire). The pin on this one moves freely, but I will spray it out good w/carb cleaner then put gun oil in it.

Re: Swedish m96
I wouldn't get rid of an 04 ex dragoon. The swede might be worth a little more, but you can buy a swede anywhere. Just my opinion.
Btw, my 1st mosin was a '26 ex dragoon.

Re: Swedish m96
Too many variables too consider. Is the Swede matching #s? Is the bore shootable? Some of these look kinda bad. What kind of mosin are you talking about?

I had the camera out and ready, so I thought I would take some pics of the K31. It is all matching and original, including the stocks. Bore is bright and shiny.
