And what copyright violation did I commit? Is posting a link to a web site a copywrite violation? Did I copy any content from this site and display it here? Is it a copywrite violation for someone to go to a site and browse it? Really? Last line on the rules of this forum: "All Laws will be re...

Re: "Made in Russia" marking on 1943 Tula PU Sniper
This is a pretty good video on the Tulsky. I had read some place that there was a Tula involvement with these rifles. Lots of information here that you can compare to your gun. This OP showed up several years ago and seems to have good knowledge.

Re: 91/30 Markings
You can still add photos  No use in getting upset. If I had specific questions about my 1955 Chevy and told you it was a two door but modified, wouldn't it help if you had pictures? Same here. All we can tell you about your rifle is that it has a SA stamp on it and it has a pot belly stock. Bu...

Re: Russian 91/30 PU authentication
Molot/Refurb for sure. What's cool about this one is that the scope s/n matches the s/n on the left side of the barrel shank. What's the chances of that? Original scope or did Molot/Refurb stamp the s/n on the shank? To determine originality one think I look at is if Izhevsk is there a scope s/n on ...

Re: Russian 91/30 PU authentication
If you are on a PC, you can edit the photos with Paint. Open the file in Paint. From the File sub menu select "resize". Select a % to change or enter a pixel size. Write in what you wish. I mostly use pixels like 640, 1080 or what ever. Paint will change the size. You can then save the ima...

Re: Russian 91/30 PU authentication
Need pictures. And if you translate the title of the booklet, it will probably say Hunting Rifle... Molot/refurbishment rebuild I suspect. But need lots of pictures to determine the quality. Likely this isn't an original but a rebuild.

These are very cool. A bonus to have a Finn with a '41 capture date stamped on it.

Re: Ex Dragoon 1925 why arsenal stock mod?
The chances of a refurbished rifle's stock being a replacement is about 100%. There is no such thing as an Ex Dragoon stock other than to say it would be more realistic if it were a prewar stock. But, even in that case the stock used for the refurb would be random and come off the top of the stack a...

Got no idea what you are talking about. Would help if you provided pictures. Use the Full Editor & Preview and you can just drop your picture in here. If you page down and don't see an option to upload pictures, press the Full Editor & preview button. Then you can either go below to add an a...

Re: Backyard Visitor
I remember when I was in Vietnam. We found a large spider sort of like this and a giant ant. And what better thing to do for a bunch of Marines was to form a circle barrier and let the two fight it out. The ant won.. Bit of all the spider's legs. We did weird shit in those days...

I recently picked this up at my local gun show... S&W's are starting to grow on me a little. Model 13 from the 70's, pinned barrel, .357 Magnum. Very nice condition.

Re: Self-Defence Guns
I bought this in December for $210 new. And I can't complain. This does the job. When these first came out about 10 years ago, they had a few problems. But now, no complaints. They also make these hammerless and one with a 4 inch barrel. I have no problems carrying this one. I'll warn you though, re...

Re: Classify My PU40 Sniper (what of have here?)
I think we could safely say that this scope was not with the rifle in it's original configuration. Does the scope mount (left side of the rifle) have any numbers either stamped or Electro-penciled? If so, does it match any of numbers on the rifle? The number on the bottom of the barrel shank is like...

Re: Classify My PU40 Sniper (what of have here?)
It's hard to determine what this is. The markings on the barrel under the handguard appear to be what the Russians engraved on the Molot 91/30's but not the "2010 Waffschu". First time I've seen this. I suspect this was labeled for the German market. If a Tulsky there should be engravings ...

Re: Broke my black powder cherry
I felt the same way about building a rifle. I always wanted to build one but also knew that such things, even the kits, are not for beginners. Then I found Kiblers Long Rifles (https://kiblerslongrifles.com/). I've built one already and have had another one in the box for over a year that I haven't...
