Re: WWI ammo pouch?
Looks like one half of an M1917 or M1918 Cartridge Belt, judging by the dates and the looks. It was meant for 2 5 round stripper clips of .30-06 per pouch and the design was kept mostly the same for later belts that held en blocs for the Garand. Do you have the belt portion and the other half? This ...

Re: Steyr M95
I lack a C&R so I don't think I can take advantage of that $89 price tag. Do they have the rifle length model at SOG and can I get it from them through a local dealer?

Steyr M95
So I'm considering making another rifle purchase after getting some more money in the bank. I've been thinking on the Steyr M95 rifle since I've seen one on gunbroker for 195. That a fair price for a purchase? Any info anyone has on these will be quite helpful as well. I haven't looked into this typ...

Re: Mosin Nagants are NOT Ugly
I'm with everyone else here, the Mosin is a beautiful rifle! I'd rather buy a beautiful Finnish M27 or an M91 for a very affordable price rather than be gouged on the wiffle bat that is the AR-15 series of rifles. It being outdated in modern conflicts aside, I'd trust that Russian 91/30 over an M16 ...

Re: Red Letter Mosin - Triangle 23 Double Date
I see a very nice Hi Power and a P38 :Drool1: I'd like to say    but I can't yet :D If that is a /23\ I would be surprised, although I think I might have one. Most likely mis-stamped and it's easy to see a 3 when looking at a 5 and visa-versa especially with the way the...

Re: Red Letter Mosin - Triangle 23 Double Date
I got a Blackberry Bold, one of the newer ones but not quite the latest touch-screen models.
All I got is Auto, Face Detection, Portrait, Sports, Landscape, Party, Close-up, Snow, Beach, Night, Text. None of them worked for me so far

Unfortunately I can never get good photos of my rifles or pistols with my cell phone. I wish I had a better camera.

Re: Red Letter Mosin - Triangle 23 Double Date
Pretty clean on the rifle itself. Need to get into the bore later (dark, strong rifling though!)
Numbers on the underside of the barrel are 43329
Rifle is stamped 1944/50

Red Letter Mosin - Triangle 23 Double Date
Well...I walk into the pawn shop today with the intent of buying a G11. Fate seems to have thrown a cruel twist my way as today they got in a crate of beautiful Mosin 91/30s! The crate was filled with red letter Mosins and there were even 3 Hex rifles among them. The Hex rifles (costing 230) would'v...

Re: arisaka type 38 carbine
I got a Type 99 for about the same price. The T38 rifle I picked up recently with the mum intact I got for 285. Based on what I paid for my T99, you're in the ballpark for a ground mum rifle.
Nice pick up on the Nagoya too. My T99 and T14 are from the same arsenal.

For that price of a magazine I think I'm going to be picking up a G11 in the very near future! I'll be posting pics when I do.
Appreciate all the information folks!

GB only has one magazine, and it's 145. That seem like a common price on the magazines?

Re: Swiss 1911 Question
They got 2 in the pawn shop, and unfortunately the one with the magazine is in a lesser condition than the one with it. I got a deal made with the one lacking the magazine that I get 230 even for a cash sale. Thing is...I just have to find a magazine now. Any good ideas on where to buy a 1911 magazi...

That's going to be some serious cleanup on that grease. Almost looks like layers of caked on grease from the photos. Beautiful sniper you have there.

Gew98, 1916 Mauser Oberndorf
Well since I've seen a couple of Gew98s already go up, I might as well throw up some photos I took of my wall hanger. My photos really don't do it justice. It's near matching, however the rear band doesn't match and the bolt doesn't match the rifle (however it's all matching to itself.) No import st...

Re: Swiss 1911 Question
Yup...from what everyone's said here, it's a mismarked 1911 for sure. I don't think they're open tomorrow but come Tuesday I think I'm going to go haggle for a pretty Swiss rifle

Re: Swiss 1911 Question
What convinced me that the K31 marked one is a 1911 is not just the height difference between a K31 and a 1911 rifle, but the use of the small Swiss crest. I remember reading somewhere that the K31 used the large crest. However I'm not very knowledgeable on these rifles. Is there anything that would...

Swiss 1911 Question
Went to the local pawn shop yesterday to sell a couple of things and I see a couple of Swiss 1911s in there. One of them is marked a 1911 while the other is marked a K31 even though (and I had to find out when I went home to look) it's also a 1911 and identical to the one next to it. So I'm interest...
