ok, thanks for all the responses. I kinda figured I would leave it as is, since i cant shoot that well anymore. I guess I will never really know the difference any way. but just thought i would ask the experts. I appreciate all the input

was cleaning the rifle the other day when I noticed this nick in the end of the barrel, think this might be a problem? should i try to have it repaired or just leave it? seems to shoot ok. sorry the pic isn't very clear, took it with my phone while i was cleaning. http://i1327.photobucket.com/albums...

I have scoped my mosin recently and must admit that it hasn't helped at all with accuracy. and i am considering selling my scope and mount also since i had plenty of fun without it. I just bought a 44" dewey cleaning rod from cabelas the other day. Very nice to have an extra long rod for the mosin.

Ok, got everything on my list gonna mix up my first batch of "Ed's Red" bore cleaner tonight. And also a batch of 50/50 mix gun oil. Thanks for posting this recipe here, cant wait to try it. what do you guys think about using a bore snake soaked in the bore cleaner
