Photograph Area

Hi guys,

Just wondering is there an area to post artistic photos of our prized possessions for all to view and use for wallpaper etc?

Re: Question: 91/30 Sniper Scope Base

Man I wish I lived in the States! Here in Australia my ‘43 Izhevsk PU set me back US$1,400! For what it’s worth mine is a TOZ export with no markings on the scope base.

From Ukraine via eBay. Will look good in the man cave with the rest of the mosin paraphernalia...

Re: Mosin Tools ID

Thanks Ratnik and everyone, I really appreciate the replies! The item photographed is for sale, I was unsure if I should purchase for collection. Thanks again! I edited you post so you will have a fair shot at getting it if you decided to. For the good of it we do not allow links or descriptions tha...

Re: late to the PU game.

One piece of advice I can give is slowly arm yourself with the facts from this forum. I purchased my first mosin only in late 2012 (an ex-sniper, with iron sights). Like many I knew I wanted a legit PU one day, however living in Melbourne, Australia the offerings that came along were few and far bet...

My first sniper.

Hi all, been a while since I’ve posted. Been keeping an eye on the mosin scene in Australia and after patient waiting I scored this today. Dealer claims TOZ got them from Russian armoury, cleaned them up and exported them. I’ll let the photos do the talking and let you be the judge! https://uploads....

Meeting a Veteran

Hi all, I hope everyone is well. I thought I'd share an experience I had today. I own a podiatry practice in Melbourne, Australia. We have a lot of Russian citizens who have immigrated here over the years and some visit my practice. 10 weeks ago an old man and his son came in, he had a scar under hi...

Re: .22 TOZ ?1972

Continuing from our posts in the restoration thread Weldon, yeah I've done a bit of digging past few weeks and slowly putting the pieces together. Best info was actually on Tula/TOZ's current English website. They had a section on the history of their firearms and mentioned that in the early 50's af...

Re: .22 TOZ ?1972

Actually I meant to ask, I think the trigger has been replaced at some point and I think it's just a shabby aluminium type. Does anyone know of a .22 trigger kit that would be compatible with this?

.22 TOZ ?1972

Hi all, Was trawling the Aussie gun sites last week and came across this little cutie, picked it up today. I'm guessing c1972, Tula made. Haven't fired it yet. If Anyone is able to give me any info on these I'd be very interested! I'm curious, is this likely to be the original trigger and what are t...

Re: RGUNS has Sniper Rifles

Speaking of Molots, today I saw one on sale here in Australia, going for nearly US$2500!! Known repo PUs on a regular mosin fetch around US$1300-1600.

Actually, make that a total of three dealers! Haha thanks guys, I'm super excited, I've never been so eager for a business to take my money! Illinois business hours are midnight to 8am my time so there's been a few late nights to make calls there. A Sydney dealer conveniently exports from Illinois a...

Re: Good Importers?

I have put the wheels in motion to import an RGuns PU into Australia. I'm waiting for them to put the payment through then I start the importation process: Two dealers, one exporter, one importer, customs testing, Well over 10,000 miles journey Illinois to Melbourne. I'm so excited I can't wait!

Yeah that's my plan for my next trip out bush in a few weeks, get a 1m square piece of board and aim central. I'll try again with bayonet attached and report back.

Ah I hadn't thought of it being decommissioned for a good reason but that does make sense, thanks Weldon! Hope everyone is well, I've been working on getting my handgun license here.

Looking for Shooting Tips :)

Hi all, I've only been in the hobby for less than a year, I've been shooting .22 target rifles at a local range and my MN when I head out bush. The .22 rifles I use have both scopes and iron sights, and I usually achieve reasonable groups relative to my experience from ranges of 50-100m. I'm also us...
