Is it wrong that i'm going to pick up my first mosin and i'm already thinking of wich one I want next?I think i've got the mosinitis!!

:clap: thank you all.you just confirmed my hunch that this is a great group.the 35 tula i'm getting only has the sling, no other goodies.the only one I was worried about not having was the tool to check the firing pin.but I don't want to pass up this tula just cuz of that.looks like i'm skipping out...

What are some ways to check firing pin protrusion if you don't have the tool? Not really a topic I guess, more of a question, but l know there are some very mosin savvy members here.any input would be greatly appritiated.

We only have one big box store out here....wallmart:(.last time I bought a savage model 64 there out took an hour!I had to wait while random people paid for random stuff at the gun counter.please people....if your not buying a gun or ammo, go to the front of the store!

Out here in central Nebraska mosins are getting real hard to find.i'm going to a gun shop thirty miles away to trade an old shotgun of mine for a 35 hex tula .haven't seen it yet.cross your fingers fellas.my local pawn shop said they put in an order in August for forty mosins.still hasn't come in!
