Re: Right place at the right time!

 Yes! Good on you. Any SKS that clean for a fair price is Rare. The last SKS I bought for $300.00 on line had 50 years of Embalmed grease in every crack and hole. What a mess to clean!. JGC

Re: High standard 22

Nice High standard, I saw drums of these being destroyed by the Navy in 1960 at the Bel Chase Ammo depot south of New Orleans. I was a boy scout and my scoutmaster was a Coast Guard commander of the radio station there. We were allowed access to the large ammo bunkers during a cleaning out of scrap ...

These will begin to show up at gun shows where I will be able to see what I get. Some 1911's just aren't collector's quality in my experience.

Re: New to me CZ-82

My wife has two CZ82's one for shooting at the range the other for home protection. She prefers the 9x18 over the 9x19 for lower recoil. Fits her hand like a glove with the weight being just right for her size. Buffalo Bore +p makes it very hard hitting if extra power is wanted .JGC

Re: Holidays with my Vepr

Thanks for the info and pictures of your 23" VEPR. I have a 20" VEPR w/ standard wood stock and both 5 and 10 round SGM mags for hunting feral hogs on my holiday in south Texas. I too use iron sites for close range and never have a problem w/ any weight bullet. I have been shooting regular...

Re: Ammunition Inventory...

My friends describe my ammo inventory as that of a small country. Got really paranoid during the shortages of a few years ago and when I thought their was even a small chance 7.62 military would be banned. Ammo will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no...

Re: Looikie what I found

Thanks for sharing those ammo pics. Nice find. I tried to fire some old ammo like that a few times . The second one mis-fired and stuck firmly in the barrel. Did get it out with a bit of a struggle. Good Luck  JGC

Re: CURRENT AMMO PRICES --- CHECK HERE FIRST!!

Hi; Dolk, Just wanted to ask about special self defense .357 Mag. I've tried a few different kinds of .357 in my Ruger LCR . Since I carry the Ruger as a backup, I need the best stopping power available for close quarters. Thanks JGC

Re: PSL or SVT40... if you could only have one?

I like both the PSL and SVT however I chose to buy a Molot-Ruzhie VEPR in 7.62X54R with a 20"bbl when CenterFire Systems had them on sale in 2012 for $699.99. I also bought one in 7.62X39 W/ a 20" bbl for $499.99. I thought the $200.00 discount with free shipping was a good deal. They both...

,40 S&W cal. ammo

I have two Model 22 .40 cal. Glock Pistols and one 40. cal. Glock model 27. Which JHP extra power self defense ammo should I consider buying? I have tried Federal Premium Low Recoil JHP and Hornady Critical Defense JHP. Since I only need about 50 Rounds cost is not a real factor. I want the round wi...

Nice Beretta 92S. I have not seen that specific type discoloration before and since I don't see any obvious rust pitting,I would guess you are correct about it being some type chemical damage to the finish. As to repairing to appearance A good gunsmith can give you more accurate advice with a close v...
