Re: Norinco NP762

I don't have a Norinco 762 but I have two Norinco Mod. 1911 A1 .45's and a Norinco 213 in 9mm. I bought these pieces when they were priced a little over $100 each. I've never had any trouble with any of them. The .45's shoot just as well as my 1911 A1 RIA and the triggers are excellent, releasing th...

Re: Couple of M1 Carbines

The last M1 Carbine I bought (Saginaw SG) came with 5 or 6 boxes of commercial ammo and I've fired about half of it through my shooter Carbine (the Inland Motors). I'll save the rest of that ammo for "hard times". Every gun show I attend I pick up all the M1 Carbine brass I can find for re...

Re: New Members, Make your first post here!

I'm fairly new to this forum and really enjoy what others have to say about their Mosin Nagant rifles and carbines. I have four of them currently that I picked up when the MN rifles were selling for less than $100. Now I'm about priced out of the military firearms market.

Re: Adopted Another CZ-82

I picked up two CZ 82 pistols about 5 years ago. I agree they are very comfortable to hold. One is used as a car gun and the other is a house gun that is kept next to the front door in a drawer. Too bad they are hard to find these days.

I've never fired a Universal Carbine. How does yours shoot, or do you fire it?

Re: P.38 Pistols

Junk Yard Dog ------ You are right. The lugers I bought in 1962 for about $30 would sell for close to $1200 to $1500 in today's market. Even the ones I paid $125 in 1975 might go for nearly $3k (Black Widows) in today's market. It is crazy isn't it?

Re: P.38 Pistols

It's hard to believe that Milsurp. guns are going for prices we are seeing today and people are laying out those $$$ for them. I started picking up Milsurp. pieces as early as 1962 right after I got out of college when good lugers were going for $29.95, P.38s were going for $20.00 and GI .45's were ...

Re: Couple of M1 Carbines

Junk Yard Dog ----- My three M1 carbines are Inland, Saginaw & Standard Prod. Yes, I remember the days when $150 could buy almost any M1 on the table but we'll never see that again. I'd like to have an original M1A1 but not at today's prices. So I picked up a repro. M1A1 stock and mounted it on ...

Re: P.38 Pistols

You did a wonderful job on that one. I'm sure that rifle could go for $800 to $1k in today's market.

MN Rifles

Over the past 10 years or so I've managed to pick up about six MN rifles and one M38 carbine. I really like the way they shoot and for a military grunt's rifle they are quite accurate. I reload for the shooters of the group so I'm able to make up my ammo for them to my liking. I'll bet before this t...

Re: Couple of M1 Carbines

Yeah, the prices being asked for M1 Carbines in today's market goes beyond all reason. I have three original G.I. M1's and I think those three are all I'll ever buy. A Std. Prod. was the first one, an Inland was the second and a Saginaw S.G. was the third. I reload for the Inland (my shooter) and it...

Re: M1 Garand Review...........Post Your M1 Garands here!!!!

Back in 1991 I picked up a M1 Garand from the DCM for about $95.00 plus shipping. I've only fired about two 8 round clips through the rifle after I first received it. I haven't fired it since. There is a stamp on the barrel in the chamber area "S A 7-41". I most likely won't fire it again.

Four SKS Rifles

I have four SKS rifles, two Chinese and two Russian pieces. I shoot the two Chinese pieces more than the Russian pieces but both are quite accurate and are a pleasure to burn powder with. If push ever comes to shove in my little corner of the world, I believe I'd grab a SKS first and head for my def...

Re: P.38 Pistols

tjiM38, razor burn ----- Thanks for your replies. Yes, I too think the P.38 was one of the best pistols produced during WWII and still is one of the best in use today. I've tried to pick up a copy of each "coded" P.38 that was produced (ac, byf, cyq, svw). That last one I've gotten is a sv...

I have a small accumulation of WWII P.38 pistols. I would like to communicate with other members who have an interest in P.38s and / or luger pistols. Thank you.

Re: AC41 and 42

You have some very nice P.38's and other fine looking German military pieces. I've been acquiring lugers, P.38's, Mausers, original holsters and belts with other interesting little nick naks for more than 50 years. I was able to find an original black SS tunic and breeches that a GI brought home in ...

Re: New to P38 Collecting

The P.38 you are asking about and have quoted a price the current owner is asking seem about $150 to $200 high. Especially since there is an import mark on the piece. But if you really want the piece (and I know how that feels) go ahead and bite the bullet so to speak and take it home. Can't tell by...
